Hawkins in Hawaii

Here are a couple of shots of our trip to the big Island of Hawaii two years ago that should get Gerd’s interest. We went over with friends and Harry and I hired a pilot with a Cessna Caravan and had him fly us over the Volcanoes. He was an incredibly accommodating fellow. He flew us out over the north island and then down along the shore, you see a waterfall cascading into the ocean in one photo and in another you see a magnificent waterfall in a farmer’s field. The first photo shows the lava field and you can see the glow of molten lava through the surface.
