Hawkins Family Pics
Attached are two early pictures of Roz and me. The first is at my great aunt and uncle’s home, Jules and Yvonne (Piche) DeMole, in Rosemere Quebec. Janet (Allen) Watson Knows part of their family (small world). The house in the background is where my great grandmother Piche lived for many years.
The second photo is a group of us on the lawn at my great aunt Eva (Taylor) Andrea at what was then know as Valois a village on Lac St. Louis, now Point Claire. We are taking flight lessons or maybe we are playing Simon Says. The home in the background was a rental property at the back of the main house. The main house was an early French Canadian field stone farm house which originally had the hayloft over the main living quarters. Eva and her husband Bob converted the upstairs to living space.
The walls were so thick that Roz and I could sit on the inside window sills together and read or play. Eva sold the home to developers in the late 50's and shortly after demolition they went bankrupt.
Thanks Bob H.
