1919 Letters from the Hawkins Collection
In the previous letter from Helen, dated 13 November, 1919, Arthur and Jeanne were revelling in the birth of their first born son Russel. In this letter of Saturday December 20, 1919 Helen extends her sympathies to Arthur and jeanne on the loss of Russel, just three months old.
Helens health is deteriorating and she is unable to travel home to Montreal as there is a Small Pox epidemic.
