Condolences & Obits From John Riley

I would like to express my condolences to the family of Carl Rufh.
I only met him at the reunion last year, but I've known for many years of
his strong attachment to the Park.

I would also like to inform others of the passing of three other long
time Greenfield Park residents, one, three weeks ago, and two others within
the last few days.

Ada Cook, formerly of Vercheres Street, mother of the late Sonny Cook,
Gordie of Calgary and Steve of Greenfield Park, passed away at the
Charles LeMoyne Hospital about three weeks ago.

Brett Donald Watmore, husband of Kelly Hamblin, passed away at the age
of thirty-seven. Brett was an enthusiastic supporter of the Greenfield
Park Packers and was the son-in-law of another patriotic Parker, Gordon
Hamblin, whose newsletter kept residents informed of happenings in our community in the 1980s and 1990s.

Lois Wisken, mother of Royal George students Pat and Doug Wisken,
passed away on March 11 at the age of eighty-eight years.

John Riley
