Football versus Golf by Ed B.

Hello South brothers.

The attached picture, for Ralph and Bob's benefit, is of my football team taken at Windsor station in Montreal before boarding the train for Winnipeg. We (Point St Charles) Leo's Boys, played in and won a national championship in 1964.
I'm the guy with the football sitting next to our team mascot and as you can see there are no helmets to be found anywhere. There is another and much better known "Parker" in the picture as well if you are running another contest.

The second photo is of the Sportsman's Association of Montreal's certificate given to each each one of us. I have fond memories of the team being feted at a number of banquets over the winter and sharing the limelight with the Canadian men's four man bobsled team which had won an olympic gold medal. I include this item knowing that your history buffs may note that former Habs great Doug Harvey has signed as honorary secretary. To my knowledge none of these guys has ever played golf.

Thanks Ed B.

If any of them played golf, Ralph B. will let you know!!!!
