Home pics from around the Park

Freeman’s house on Empire. Bob, Noni, and their children: the late Mary Lou, Rod,
Heather and Kim would hardly recognize the place today. There have been a lot
of changes made to this house in recent years. It was originally a peaked roof building but an extra floor was added by its present occupiers. The Gunhouse
family lived in the house after the Freeman’s. Mr. Gunhouse was renowned for
his wonderful award winning gardens.

Gil Jenkins house on Evelyn St. Gil Jenkins was the milkman from much of the
town in the 1950s and 1960s. His daughter Lorna was a carnival queen in the

Alf Snyder’s house on Walker St. Snyder’s had an appliance business in St. Lambert.
In the late 1990s a Greenfield Park wine was bottled by the Quebec Liquor
Commission and the picture of the Snyder house was used on the label. When I
told Doreen Snyder Dorman about the wine she asked me to get her half a
dozen bottles and send them to Ontario for family celebrations.
