Moose or a Horse ??

These photos are from the Stephenville Newfoundland Archives.The man shot a moose, then found that it had a calf that would never survive on it's own. So he took the calf home and cared for it and raised it, and it stayed in the barn like the horses when necessary.

I do not know the year of this occurrence, looks like some years ago. The gentleman had the moose and used it as a workhorse for many, many years,
