Today we celebrate the life of Frances Kathleen Hawkins (nee Taylor). Frances is pre-deceased by her husband Ernie (John) and her daughter Lynda. She is survived by her brother Herbert of England, daughter Rosalyn Snyder of Greenfield Park and son Bob Hawkins of Burlington as well as grandchildren Paul and David Snyder and Tina, Brad, Jason and Megan Hawkins.
Frances passed away peacefully this evening at 6:35 surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Frances, known affectionately as Nan Fran and her husband Ernie spent many years fostering hundreds of children throughout Montreal and the South Shore.
They were a benevolent couple whose door was open to all who needed love and warmth.
Nan Fran will be missed by family and friends.
