Ivan sends some spring pics
Here are a few spring pictures.
These 2 pictures were taken Saturday at Baie-du-Févre , not far from
my place near lac St-Pierre. The low lying land just next to the
ST-Lawrence (Lac St-Pierre) in flood season comes up and makes a natural lake for
the Snow Geese and Canada Geese to stay over before they go on the last
jaunt up north.
Usually the are some 40,000 to 80,000 birds at this time of
year. They fly from this spot twice a day to local farm fields to feed
off the roots from last years corn crops. In the pictures Lac St-Pierre is
just behind the trees. The hills in the background are the continuation
of the Laurentians, called LaNaudière.
Of course we can't forget the idle hunters
Thanks Ivan R.
