To all my friends, my grandson Elijah Christopher passed away today, May 24/06 at 11:53, due to complications from a premature birth and Treacher Collins Syndrome. Little Elijah was our precious gift for exactly one month and although our family is grieving, he is finally free from pain and discomfort. His passing was peaceful in his mom and dad's arms at the Victoria Hospital in London. While only one month old, he touched many lives, and we were blessed to have loved him. I was fortunate to have spent the day with him yesterday and held him for about 3 hours, a time I will cherish forever.
On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you for all your wishes, thoughts, and prayers, they were such a comfort and I recorded them passed them all onto my daughter and son-in-law.
Funeral arrangements are not complete at this time, but it is my understanding that Elijah will be placed to rest in a cemetary in Woodstock, Ontario where my daughter Tricia and son-in-law Gary reside.
