More from my Corner

On the south side of Noosa Heads (where I live) the uncrowded beach stretches seemingly on forever. It is a great place for water sports of all kinds that can be enjoyed throughout the year. Along the coast are a number of small beachside communities with exotic sounding names like Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Castaways, Peregian Beach and Coolum Beach.

West of the coast about 20 kilometres, the lush hills of the hinterland are mostly covered with a rainforest of eucalyptus trees and are part of the Great Dividing Range that stretches along all of the eastern coast of Australia. At the southern end of the Sunshine coast is the remnant of a group of ancient volcanic hills known as the Glasshouse Mountains. They were named by Captain Cook in 1770 when he sighted them from his ship and he fancied that they sparkled like glass in the late afternoon light.

Thanks Bob Godefroy for sharing these beautiful scenes with us.
You Certainly picked a great place to live. Lucky Guy!!
