Hi Marty,
I have attached Rosalyn's graduation picture and a prayer she wrote when she was in her mid teens.
Roz was a devoutly religious person raised by parents who were open minded and free of ethnic and religious prejudices. Our father was Catholic and our mother, while Presbiterian, she was a direct decendant of Huguenots.
Roz was baptized a Catholic, brought up in the French Presbiterian church in Verdun, returned to the Catholic church when she married Dave Snyder and then, at one point, decided to become a Pentacostal. She again returned to the Catholic church where, after Dave's death, she went to seminary school at McGill.
She devoted the latter part of her life to the Catholic Church, in particular St. Mary's in Greenfield Park.
Roz was multi-talented and excelled as a writer, orator and director of religious education for young children and adults alike.
A mass is scheduled for July 14th, 2006 the time is yet to be decided.

P.S. If the prayer is not legible.....
O Shepherd
by Rosalyn Hawkins
Dear Father, shepherd of us all,
We thy sheep come at thy call,
Guide thy wandering flock
this day,
Lord, may thy lamb not
go astray,
Bless us all Lord, Friend or Foe,
And may brotherhood of nations
grow and grow
Teach us thy sheep the
right from wrong,
That we too, someday may
join thy throng,
Of angels singing praise
on high,
To thee, Almighty God, above
the sky.
May we offer our family condolences..
Marty & Louisa
