I am attaching a picture of a rare sighting I had at Toronto near the Humber river foot bridge. Local birders had been reporting this guy's presence for a couple of weeks in July before I found him. Anyone care to make a guess? There is good whiskey where he came from too!
Thanks Ed B.
I knew you would come up with a difficult one. We might get Margaret W. into birds with this one. What do you think Margaret???
Hi Marston, Been busy the last few days and haven't been able to keep up to you. Yes, that Cycad plant would have been a nightmare. Very interesting information. Do they shoot up some kind of flower from the center at times? I imagine they would survive our winters if they have been around for such a long time. I want one and one of those Parrot Flowers too!The funny looking bird from Saturday the 2nd, I would think is a Spoonbill something. (Pink winged Spoonbill) The bird on the beach looks like a Barnacle Goose. That's my guess.Have a great Labour Day week-end - we are!
Margaret
Margaret you have done it again. I take my hat off to you.
I hope Bob Godefroy answers your questions about his plants.
Take care and thanks for your blog participation and the fun we have.
