Prairie Moments

Marston
Thought I would share another prairie moment.. We rounded a hill curve and found this mother deer in the middle of the road with her fawn just to the left. At first she became protective and wouldn't let us come any closer. Then she got indignant and down right hostile. She stomped her front hoof hard on the ground and shook her head and wouldn't let us pass.
More head shaking and more foot stomping for the next 10 minutes. Now we love animals, and all that, especially fawns but this was ridiculous. Finally we just had to go. We moved very slowly forward until she very stiffly turned and walked into the field, making sure we saw her disaproval. Nothing dumb about animals especially guardian mothers.
Have a good one.
