The following item was published in today’s Montreal Gazette by Jack Todd, sports columnist and resident of Greenfield Park.
“If you don’t live in Greenfield Park, ignore the following: A wonderful Greenfield Park character named Fred Dobson suffered a stroke in January that left him paralyzed on his right side. Dobson is famous in the Park for lending money to anyone with a hard-luck story and saying “catch me later,” which usually meant never.
Well, later is now. Dobson is a self-employed guy, so his friends have organized a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for him at Scotyz Bar on Taschereau Blvd. between 5 and 9 p.m. on Friday, March 30. Tickets are $8 and donations will be gratefully received. For tickets, call Lorna at 450-466-8697”.
