Here is the article on camel racing that I never told you about. Our Hero Normand is going for the championship on Sunday. A well known fact is that Camel racing is never held on Saturdays as the riders have their weekly bath at the cattle trough then.
That in itself is worth the price of entry. Just imagine watching all those jockey's frolicing around in their turbans singing those great camel tunes so dear to our hearts. Such classics as " Hector the brown nosed Camel" or that ever favorite " Here comes Peter Dromodery" and then there’s... oh well you remember all those quaint little diddies we used to sing down by the track.
Doesn't it just make you tingle....
