Hi Marty,
The Fred Dobson Fundraiser was a smashing success at Scotyz Bar on
Friday evening. Almost two hundred people showed up to support Fred, a Park
mechanic par excellence, who always said to people he helped, "Pay me
later!" Some of the people I saw there with wives and friends were:
Steve Grocholski and his wife, Bob and Elizabeth Turbyne, Jack and Marion
Macdonald, Bob and Bev Morley, Charlie and Betty Menary, Paul and Mary
Boudreau, Rob Pelletier, Donnie Harris, Rob and Sandra Allikas, Muriel
Bartlett, Mark Boudreau, Audrey Field, Kay Harris, Caroline Pelletier,
Iris Kasper, Shirley McSorley, David Durocher, Irene Frail, Carol Flood,
Vicky and John Zatylny, Richard Amos, Frank Reid, Harold Holloway, Jim Cooke,
Gerry Cantwell, Ted Pearce, Raymond Lee, Henry Frail, Jamie Harding,
Elizabeth Bradshaw, Ellen Boyle, Jimmy and Donnie Hynes, Don and Denise
Ducross, Robert Jones, Charlie and Dean Clarke, Bernie Constantini, and
my wife Doreen and I. Please forgive me because I know I must have missed
some of those in attendance. The organizer and master of ceremonies, Lorna
McEachren read a rowsing tribute to Fred in the form of a poem, that
received a standing ovation from all of Fred's friends. We all hope
Fred makes a complete and quick recovery from his stroke.
John
Thanks John R.
