Prairie Moments

Staggering beauty in the shade of the high rocks. Many of these streams empty into the Great Salt Lake as crystal clean water, but because of the high evaporation rate and no outlet, the lake has become many times saltier than the Ocean. The touristie thing to do, is to try swiming. Because of the salt, the water is so bouyant, you bob around on top like a cork. The reality is, it stinks and there are thousands of sand flies.
We did our touring on the beach as the sun was setting over Antelope Island.

for now

Thanks Doug
