This bird was protecting it's eggs which were in a parking lot of the golf course--see the 4 eggs in the gravel--more pics.
People were calling it a " Kill Dear" spelling I not sure of--& I'm not sure of the bird type either.
The birds were keeping a close watch on the eggs--one would stay by the eggs the other would limp around the parking lot to distract you away from the eggs--actually make like it was injured--fasinating.
Here's the mate pretending like it's injured.
