Guess the Names at this Wedding 40 yrs ago (Happy Anniversery John & Dorothy)

Hi Marty;

The attached photo was taken 40 years ago this month at our wedding
reception (Reception hall on Tashereau - don't remember the name)
following the wedding at St Paul's Anglican Church with Rev Desmond
Rowe presiding.

Of the 9 people in the photo, 7 attended Royal George and 8 resided in
Greenfield Park at one time. All of the bridesmaids went on to marry
guys who attended Royal George. Can you guess who the people are?

There must be several other Royal George couples who have already or
will soon celebrate their 40th anniversary. I for one would love to
see some of those old wedding photos posted on the blog.

Let see if we get some names here....?

Bridesmaid - Violet Belcher - later married Richard Royds
Bridesmaid - Pat Woodall - later married Terry Caverly (at last 2
reunions)
Maid of Honor - Jolene Caza - MGH Nursing School friend of Dorothy
(Married the Best man a year later)
Bride - Dorothy Bugera
Flower Girl - Judy Henderson - John's cousin who lived on Homer between
Violet and Mr Russell
Groom - John Penney - don't you just love the glasses
Best man - Howard Williams - attended Royal George from Grade 4 to 7 -
Best friend at CMR/RMC
Usher - David Bugera - Dorothy's brother
Usher - Keith Penney - John's brother

Hi Marty Idefintely know 2 in that pic groom John Penney and one of the bridesmaids is Violet Belcher,a couple of others I can picture but names escape me,I havent seen them in over 45 yrs.The golf pics sure make me laugh how we all have change since school days,the only one that hasnt changed is Harold Rye

Here is my guess for the wedding photo.

The bride & groom are Dorothy Bugera & John Penney. Bridesmaids from left are Violet Beltcher, Patricia Woodall & ??? Guys are from John's right, Howard Williams, one of the Bugers boys & Keith Penney.

Not sure who the flower girl is.

Congratulations to Dorothey & John Penney on their 40th wedding anniversary. I recognize two of the bridesmaids - Violet Belcher (who married Richard Royds, I believe) and Pat Woodall who married Terry Caverley. I also recognized John's brother, Keith. The other bridesmaid I don't recognize - or the other two fellows.

I've been enjoying seeing all the photos on the Blog from your recent visit to the Park. It will be good to see all those faces again in September! Glad you were able to get together with George Brossard - he has certainly made a name for himself in the insect world. I believe William Hurt played him in a movie called "The Blue Butterfly" a few years ago. Another former RGHS student, Kevin Tierney, (a few years younger than us) has become quite a well-known producer - he produced Bon Cop Bad Cop - which did very well here in Quebec.
