HI MARTY ,HERE IS A PIC OF SMITH STORE IN 1948 AT 119 NOW 449 DE SPRINGFIELD. I SPENT THE AFTERNOON WITH MRS. SMITH YESTERDAY SHE HIS 93 BORN 21 APRIL 1914 . THEY OPENED THE STORE IN 1946, THE FIRST DAY SHE SOLD $9.57. THEY CLOSED IN 1967 AFTER THEY WHERE ROBBED ,TIED UP IN THE STORE, THE ROBBERS GOT AWAY WITH THE SMITH'S CAR WITH ABOUT $400.00 TOTAL MONEY AND MERCHANDISE. MISTER SMITH DIED IN 1983,SHE SOLD THE HOUSE IN 1985 $44.000.00 TO DAVID BARLEY AND JO-ANN THEY SOLD IT FOR $135.000.00 AND NOW IT IS FOR SALE AGAIN FOR $199.900.00 .IF SOMEDODY WANTS A
HOUSE UNDER $200.000.00 WHERE THEY SOLD 1 CENT BAG OF CHIPS IT IS TIME. WHO KNOWS WHAT YOU COULD FIND IN THE
WALLS MAYBE OUR GOOD OLD CANDIES BLACK BALLS ,HONEYMOONS, THRILL GUM,BAZOOKA GUM YUM YUM. THEY WHERE CLOSED ON SUNDAY BUT PEOPLE CAME IN ANYWAY SO THEY BOUGHT A SUMMER PLACE IN ALBURG VERMONT TO REST
A LITTLE BIT. MISTER SMITH WAS AN ADOPTED CHILD HIS MIDDLE NAME ANDRIAN[[ MAYBE NOT SPELLED RIGHT ]],WAS IS REAL NAME. MRS SMITH IS LIVING IN ST-LAMBERT. SHE AS A GREAT MEMORY AND FUN TO TALK TO I TOOK HER FOR A COMPLETE
TOUR OF G,PK WE MET VERA BROWN AND HER SISTER AND NOREEN BARFOOT SHE REMEMBERED THE 1 CENT CHIPS
AND THE HONEYMOONS.
