Piano Lessons

Dear Marston,

Just as an aside, I believe Lilian Soomet took piano lessons from Mme. Lucrece Perras (nee Gravel) in St. Lambert in the 1950s. Mrs. Perras lived on the 2nd floor at Elm and St. Denis; later on there was a Benny Bar-B-Q on the main floor, then a Vietnamese restaurant, etc. She was the sister of two Miss Gravels, who also taught piano. I took from Mrs. Perras from September 1954 to June 1956, but because we moved to the Park in May '56 I switched to Mrs. Jenkins - mother of Peter, Michael, Joanne and Lee-Anne - and took with her until June 1962.

P.S. to Lilian: Do you remember other students? I recall Ann Taylor, but then she switched to Lawrence Dennis who became the most popular piano teacher in St. Lambert.

Thanks Linda
