After seeing all these photos of Biplanes on here I though I would share my experience with flying a Pitts at my cousins funeral in Van Nuys , California . My cousin , Randy Gagne unfortunately died in another stunt plane about ten years ago . Randy was a world renowned aerobatic pilot and instructor and had taught many of Hollywood's stars including John Travolta, Patrick Swayze, Whoopie Goldberg and Will Smith to name a few . When I attended his funeral I actually met all these stars at his hangar in Van Nuys as they came to pay their respects .I then got to fly my cousins favorite plane , The Pitts that is pictured here . Of course Randy's protege was at the controls when needed as I am not a pilot . I did however learn to complete a few stunts while in the air , WHAT a rush that was . Anyways that's the extent of my aerobatic experiences ...........
