Win's Vacation Pics

The first pics. show us entering the Bryce Canyon (My favourite canyon I guess - all three have their own attraction for different reasons) From the entrance to the summit of the mountain, that we find ourselves climbing with switchback after switchback, is a total of 18 miles and thousands of feet up!!

We started our ascent at around 5,500 feet elevation and our first lookout - with parking facilities - was Farview Point at 8,819 feet. The formations of rock and the variations of colour are so breathtaking that you end up stopped dead in your tracks just staring out into the valley below!! The photos speak for themselves - In the last pic. I'm trying to draw your attention to the big lump in the background & not the one in the foreground - get a load of the ballcap - old habits die hard I guess!!

As mentioned the trip up the mountain is 18 miles with a few lookouts (giving different perspectives) along the way - just wait and see!!
