Here's pics. of Old Faithful just as she begins to erupt until she takes a rest - maybe two minutes or so in all................There's a loud hissing sound added to the whole experience!!
I'm including a few photos of "Park" billboards informing of the dangers that surround the entire area - These photos save me from typing all this info. - good thing because my right index finger is starting to kill me!!
The buffalo are everywhere, I mean everywhere throughout the park and just totally ignore people and traffic........Just like a herd of cattle!!
A few miles up the road from Old Faithful we came upon an area covering a good five/ten acres where thermal activity is constant (24 hours daily) ......Normal streams of water picking up the extreme hot magma and carrying on down to the small river indicated in a couple of the photos......................You would swear that there was a hugh forest fire burning except we're dealing with steam and not smoke!!
Our next stop was Mammoth Hot Springs - Turned out to be even more interesting than the Old Faithful area!!
Later.................Win
Thanks Win S.
