HI MARTY,

HERE ARE A FEW MONTREAL ROYALS HOCKEY CLUB PLAYERS IN THE FIFTIES , WALTER [WALLY] CLUNE, FERNAND PERREAULT, FRED[ SKIPPY] BURCHELL AND EDDIE LITZENBERGER. I REMEMBER SEEING WALLY CLUNE PLAY AT THE FORUM ON SUNDAY AFTERNOONS. THE PIC YOU SEE IS A CARD OF HIM IN 1951-1952 THAT I HAVE, IT WAS MADE FOR LAVAL DAIRY. HE DIED FEB. 3RD 1998. HE ONCE LIVED IN ST-LAMBERT WITH ANDREE CHAMPAGNE ,

SHE IS A SENATOR NOW. THEIR SON PATRICK CLUNE WAS TELLING ME HE LIKED SO MUCH WHEN HIS FATHER AND MOTHER TOOK HIM TO MIISS CHINATOWN RESTAURANT ON VICTORIA, HE WAS ALLOWED TO DRINK SOFT DRINK INSTEAD OF MILK, A VERY SPECIAL PERMISSION FOR THE OCCASION.

WALLY CLUNE PLAYED 5 GAMES FOR THE MONTREAL CANADIANS, THE YEAR HE WAS READY TO GO UP TO THE BIG CLUB HE WAS INJURED AND THEY TOOK BOB TURNER, THAT IS WHAT ANDREE CHAMPAGNE HIS WIFE TOLD ME. SHE WAS A STAR IN FRENCH TELEVISION SHE PLAYED IN A PROGRAM NAMED SERAPHIN SHE WAS DONALDA THE WIFE OF SERAPHIN A REAL SCROOGE.

THANKS MARTY
