Popular Group Named

Hi Marty,
The "popular band" included in Normand's St. Lambert photos on Tuesday's edition of your blog is the Beau Marks consisting of Joey Frechette (piano), Ray Hutchinson (lead guitar and vocals), Mike Robitaille (bass) and Gilles Tailleur (drums). Greenfield Park band Eric and the Counts (Ken Jeary, George Brian Pendlebury, Stan Sheppard and Eric Vance), precursor to the Parkaires, had the great fortune and pleasure to appear with this group on two occasions. I recall that the Beau Marks were a fine group of of fellows who offered friendship and support during our appearances with them. You may remember their best known hit tune "Clap Your Hands" which made it to #1 in Canada and Australia, and also made signifcant inroads in the USA and Europe.
Cheers,
George

Thanks George P.
