1966 Rememberance Day Parade on Churchill Blvd (John McC provides name)


IT'S ME AGAIN MARTY,

THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN 1966, LOOK AT THE GREENFIELD TAXI STAND BESIDES THE HOLLINGDRAKE'S COMPLEX. I GUESS JACKIE GLEASON WAS IN TOWN LOOK AT THE GUY BESIDE'S THE POLE WITH THE CHILD IN HIS HANDS. I CAN'T FIND NORTON. IN THE PARADE WE SEE PAT PRATT, ALEC ???? JACK ASPREY, TOM NEWTON, HAROLD COREY, W.H.KNIGHT JR. S.MATTHEWS, AL GOLDUP, L.GAGNON, DON GARLAND, R.KNIGHT.

Hi Marty, in answer to Normand's question ,the gentleman in the Remebrance Day parade carrying the flag is Alec Heavens and he was a pitcher for the Legion fastball team. He was a reallly good pitcher who did not throw the windmill style but was the traditional underhanded type who could put lots of junk on the ball and was consequently very tough to hit. JMcC
