Obituary For Emily (Booker) Breeton

From Today's Gazette.....

 Edith Emily (Booker) Brereton

BRERETON, Edith Emily (nee Booker). At the age of ninety and four months, mother passed away early Tuesday morning November 18, at Charles Lemoyne Hospital in Greenfield Park, after a stay of about twelve hours. She is now rejoicing with Jesus Christ, whom she accepted as her Lord and Saviour more than eighty years ago as a young girl in the Salvation Army in Pointe St. Charles. She was the loving wife of the late Edward, known to everyone as Bob, and cherished mother of Lloyd. Her nieces and nephews, the Booker Clan, as well as their families will also miss her. Having moved to what is now part of Brossard when she was ten years old, she was a witness to the South Shore's development throughout her life. A resident of Greenfield Park for more than sixty years, she was one of the pioneers in the Greenfield Park Pentecostal Church. Visitation will be at: from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday November 22. The funeral service will take place at the Greenfield Park Pentecostal Church, 30 Churchill Blvd, on Sunday November 23 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Gideons International Canada in her memory. This can be done by phone at 1-888-482-4253, or on the web at www.gideons.ca .
