Across from the new city hall and fire station was the first electronic store. It was owned by a Mr. Dawes. He had worked for a electronic store in Montreal on St. Catherine west of Atwater. He later moved his buisness over on Churchill next to the New Pops Restuarant near Comptois Meat Market. And the building he vacated became a pharmacy, I do not know if this building is still there or not. Or if any of the Dawes family still live in the Greenfield Park area. He sold lot ot portable radio to us young people at the time on credit before credit cards were the thing and never charged interest.
