Normand Simard was asking about the Stock Car races back in the 50's and 60's. I remember the Noel one; my dad ( Eric ) used to go on Sunday afternoons and often he took us kids with him. We ( Keith, Dennis, Neville and some of our friends piled into the Hollingdrake delivery truck and off we went. When we arrived at the entrance, us kids would crawl under a sheet of canvas and lie still as my dad paid for one person -- that way we kids avoided the $ 1.00 entry fee.
I also remember that one of the stock cars was owned by a Parker, Jackie Ball, although he often used other drivers for his car. It was a dirt track and often too dusty to know who the winners were, but it was a fun afternoon just anticipating whether Jackie's car would make it to the finish line !!!
