Boating anyone…..? A real rough ride

Absolutely  fantastic pictures. Make sure you maximize your screen to get  the  full  effect.

           Dave  Ashurst took them a few weeks ago at Cox Bay near Tofino,  B.C.. He had a tripod and a telephoto, and was in the  right Place  at  the  right time for this coast guard lifeboat to hit some crazy  swell.Good  thing  those boats can roll! Not sure about those guys on the top  deck, though.  (Note  the flag is facing toward the bow.  It would appear these are  what are called standing  waves formed by a strong opposing wind)
