Memories and Souvenirs

Hi Marty

 I remember Mrs. G's gift shop very well.  We (neighbourhood kids) used to build up a Christmas shopping fund, bringing something like 25 cents a week, and then doing our shopping when we had accumulated about $5.

 That is a photo of a knick-knack I bought at her gift shop, late one Saturday afternoon, as an impromptu gift for my mother.  I'm sure I was hoping that it would inspire my mother to say "yes" to the puppy I was wanting.

 I wonder if anyone else has memories of the excitement of the Christmas shopping fund.
