Life

A wonderful reminder of what life is truly about!

> This is something we should all read at least once a week
>
> Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland ,
Ohio
>
> "To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me..
It is the most-requested column I've ever written.
>
> My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:
>
> 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
>
> 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
>
> 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone...
>
> 4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and
parents will. Stay in touch
>
> 5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
>
> 6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
>
> 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
>
> 8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
>
> 9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
>
> 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
>
> 11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
>
> 12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
>
> 13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey
is all about.
>
> 14. If a relationship has to be a secret,you shouldn't be in it.
>

never blinks.

an answer.

this matter?'

>
> A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said,
>
> ' God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'
>
> God led the holy man to two doors.
>
> He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.
>
> In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the
table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy
man's mouth water.
>
> The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to
be famished.
>
> They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to
their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take
a spoonful.
>
> But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the
spoons back into their mouths.
>
> The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.
>
> God said, 'You have seen Hell.'
>
> They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as
the first one.
>
> There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the
holy man's mouth water.
>
> The people were equiped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the
people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man
said, 'I don't understand..'
>
> It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.
>
> You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only
of themselves.'
>
> Its estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will,
forward this with the title '7%'.
>
> I'm in the 7%
>
> Remember that I will always share my spoon with you !
>
> Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves
