East along the coast from Phillip Island is a geographical feature known as Wilson's Prom (short for promontory). It resembles a peninsula or headland and its tip is the most southern point on the Australian mainland and the closest point to Tasmania. It is mostly a national park and is a wonderful area for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, swimming or just enjoying the great variety of native plants and animals. I spotted another of Australia's many colourful parrots. These pink and grey birds are known as galahs (with the emphasis on the first syllable). And if you describe someone as "looking like a galah" or "he is a bit of a galah", your meaning will be instantly understood by every Australian. In other words - over-dressed or too showy and ostentatious.
