Leo Mol is an internationally renowned sculptor and artist. In 1989 Leo Mol was appointed an officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of his artistic contributions to his adopted country.
He has also completed more than eighty major stained glass windows in churches throughout Winnipeg. During the 1950's he became well known for his ceramic figurines.
During his career, Leo Mol accumulated a complete collection of his own sculpture work. In the interest of keeping the collection intact, Leo Mol gifted this personal legacy to the people of Winnipeg. The garden and gallery house over 300 bronzes, ceramics, paintings and drawings.
"Leo Mol passed away this week at the age of 94. His works may be found from Portage and Main to The Vatican. Pleasant journey Leo and thank you."
