1947 Fire Truck from GPK

HI MARTY,

HERE IS WHAT IS LEFT OF THAT POOR 1947 SOME SAY 1948 BICKLE SEAGRAVE G.PK. #5 FIRE TRUCK. THE PICS WITH AIMÉ GAGNON WHERE TAKEN 3 YEARS AGO, AFTER THAT THE POOR TRUCK TURNED PINK. IT DID GET, ONCE A TERRIBLE PAINT JOB, WE SEE JOHN RILEY AND WALLY MATHESON ON THE TRUCK RECENTLY. THE TRUCK IS AT 5000 COUSINEAU IN ST-HUBERT, IN THE FIELD BESIDES TEDDY'S RESTAURANT. IF SOMEBODY WOULD LIKE TO COMMENT ON THIS TRUCK, MAYBE TELL US MORE. I HEARD IT WAS BOUGHT FROM THE CITY OF HAMILTON WHEN ???? CA 1967. THE MOTOR WAS CHANGED. ME AND WALLY TRIED TO OPEN THE HOOD IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE. BUT WALLY SAW SOME NEW PARTS OF THE MOTOR IT WAS THE G.PK. TRUCK HE SAYS. ST-HUBERT HAD ONE IT WENT TO B.C.THERE IS SUPPOSE TO BE SERIAL # UNDER THE HOOD OF THR G.PK. TRUCK D1850. WALLY REMEMBERED USING DYMO TAPE TO IDENTIFY THE BUTTONS, THE TAPES ARE STILL THERE.

THANKS MARTY

NORMAND SIMARD.

PS I STILL THINK THIS G.PK. #5 FIRE TRUCK BELONGS TO THE HALL OF FLAME MUSEUM WITH ALL THE OTHER RED FAT CAT FIRE TRUCKS THAT ARE WELL PRESERVED AND SHINED EVERY WEEK . POOR TRUCK. OH WELL DOWN MEMORY LANE WHAT A BEAUTIFUL LANE.

Thanks Normand
