The church in the heart of modern Fiuggi was built during WW I by the women of the town while their men were at war. The mosaic tile work was done by one of the priests.
Every morning the church bells chime at exactly 7:30. There is a dog somewhere nearby that when the bells chime he/she begins to howl..... Pat and I waited every morning for the ritual to begin and could not help but laugh.....
