The Barrett Amateur Golf Tournament was being advertised all over St. Andrews-By-The-Sea - it doesn't mean a whole lot to me but it might to Ralph B. or the Cobb Brothers or ................... The Fairmount Algonquin Hotel can be seen from just about anywhere in town - We might have been able to swing a night or two in that "WORLD FAMOUS HOTEL" if I had by-passed Digby and that darn QUILT shop!!!!!!
The downtown section was really pretty with lots of history and lots of shops, restaurants etc. .................. There's a photo of a group of teenagers sitting on some city steps - we got a laugh out of the sign above the door - "NO LOITERING". - The town has a "War of 1812" history - The person who leaves the dog bowl with water for visiting animals sure seems to have a sense of humour!!
The last two photos are of the very old and very expensive Algonquin Golf Course................Just had to include these for all my golfing buddies!!
The next day we crossed the border into Calais, Maine and wouldn`t be back on Canadian soil for about two weeks when we crossed at Niagara Falls.
Later....................Win
Thanks Win
