After leaving Bar Harbor our next stop heading south was a real surprise "Boothbay Harbor" - It certainly wasn't well known to Ann & I and it turned out to be the nicest spot we visited in all of Maine.
The harbour area is just booming with tourists, with lots of attractions, regular and fine dining restaurants, cafes, bars and shops........The water area is a beehive of activity with just about every conceivable type of motor and sailing craft - As we were snapping pics. down in the harbor area the fog started to roll in - I'm attaching a couple of photos of a tallship at anchor, one I'm sure you can see plainly, the other you my have to strain your eyes to see through the mist, but you know what they say "It makes for a great Photo"
If you are planning a trip to Maine then due yourself a favour and put Boothbay Harbor on your list of places to visit!!
We headed south to Massachusetts and stayed overnight just north of Boston, in the town of Salem.
Boston and Salem..................Great time!!
Later..................Win
Thanks Win
