Xmas Time in Montreal

HELLO MARSTON,

AS LITTLE URCHLINGS, WE WOULD TAKE THE SOUTHERN COUNTIES

IN TO MONTREAL, WITH OUR PARENTS. A MARCH ALONG McGILL, THEN UP BEAVERHALL HILL FIRST OFF WAS THE SANTA CLAUS PARADE, THEN INTO EATONS, SEE SANTA, NEXT A RIDE ON THE MINIATURE

TRAIN. STEVIE AND I WERE GETTING DAZZLED, CAUGHT UP IN WHOLE

AFFAIR. NEXT WOULD BE SIMPSONS , SANTA AGAIN, NO TRAIN RIDE, BUMMER.

OGLVIY'S HAD SOME TYPE OF MECHANICAL FAIRY TALE SCENE, IN ONE OF THEIR FRONT SHOW WINDOWS. WE HAD TO OOH & AHH AT TO MAKE OUR

PARENTS HAPPY.

CAUGHT UP IN THE SPIRIT, WE WERE JUNKIES, ANOTHER MARCH ALONG

STE. CATHERINES, EASTWARD, ALONG THE WAY WE PASSED A DRUG STORE

WITH NO FRONT DOORS, IT WAS ALWAYS OPEN, A CURTAIN OF HOT AIR

AS A BARRIER FOR OUTSIDE WEATHER. WE WERE GETTING CLOSER TO

DUPUY FRERES, AS YOU ENTERED DUPUY'S STORE THE THRESHHOLD

WAS LIT UP FROM UNDERNEATH A FROSTED TYPE PANEL YOU HAD TO

WALK ON. ANOTHER SANTA WAS HERE TO SEE, ALSO THEY HAD THEIR OWN MINIATURE TRAIN RIDE ALSO. WE WERE NOW BURNT, SINCE WE WERE

THIS FAR EAST, ANOTHER MARCH ALONG STE. CATHERINES TO PAPINEAU

AND A BUS RIDE HOME ACROSS THE JAQUES CARTIER BRIDGE.
