Norm. Thought you would be interested in this one. I have been following all the emails concerning the old fire truck that is being talked about for the 100th Anniversary for GPK. This is an old pumper fire truck that my son in law just purchased for the maple sugar operation at the farm. It is being converted today so it can collect sap from a maple bush that is about a mile away. Now instead of pulling a trailer by tractor with a 1500 gallon tank we can just use this to pump out the sap from the holding bulk tank in the bush & pump it right back into the shanty for the reverse osmosis process. We can make 4 loads for the time it took the tractor to do one. The truck is a lot faster. It was purchased from the fire department (town) from a neighboring town. The only modification it needs is to have the 6 inch outlet on the rear of the truck converted to 3 inches by way of a reducer. It should be operational by tomorrow.

HI BOB,

THIS IS ROSS MORLEY AND HIS NEW TOY, HE PICKS UP ALL THE GOOD MAPLE SYRUP AT THE FARM.

THANKS BOB AND LUCKEY ROSS

Thanks Normand and Ross.... sure glad we didn't post this before the Olympics... it would have given Stephen Colbert a whole arsenal of jokes.... it's one thing that he called us "Sap Suckers"..... but "Yellow Bellied Sap Suckers" thems fighting words EH
