ALBERT SMITH LETTER IN 1941 - PM Designation answered

I think the P.M. after his signature stands for Postmaster. Most general stores had branch post offices in them at that time.

Thanks Linda LaR..... that sure makes sense... as you can tell the thought never entered my mind but you are right it was a common practice at the time and Postmasters were considered to be an acceptable signatories for all types of documentation
